TEETIMUS
From a small Kingston community known as Riverton City comes the jovial
and fun-loving; Musician, Producer and Recording artiste Teetimus.
Teetimus started his affair with music as a drummer while in high school, he
was mentored by Shaka from Newbreed Band and from there developed a
real love for the craft. His experience grew with performances with other
bands including Power Play, Bare Essentials and Kaution Band.
As a musician Teetimus toured with artistes like; Elephant Man, Bounty
Killa, Shabba Ranks, Shaka Demus and Pliers, Lady Saw, Sizzla, Wayne
Wonder and Marcia Griffiths.
His journey however never ended with the drummer lifestyle, Teetimus was
also learning the art of producing over the years and started building beats
officially while signed to King Jammy’s label as a musician.
Teetimus was involved in the production of rhythms like; ‘Amharic Riddim’,
‘Engine’, ‘Get to the Point’ and Trilogy which made it on Sean Paul’s album
that went double platinum.
Over the years Teetimus has been labelled as ‘The Genius’, producing
trending hits worldwide including: ‘Affairs of the heart’ by Damion Junior
Gong Marley, ‘Heels On’ by Lady Saw, ‘Bruck It Dung’ by Mr Vegas, ‘Taste it’ by
Busta Rhymes,. And ‘Bounce Along’ by Wayne Wonder. These projects
promoted the musician and producer to Grammy nominated and Grammy
winning status
The desire to become an actual recording artiste came
through tragedy though when Teetimus lost a friend and
put his emotions in writing. His first recording ‘Neva be
no Fren’ was produced by Truck Back Records.
Being able to put his own vocals on his beats was a dream
come true for Teetimus and this pushed him to continue
recording additional tracks including; ‘UFO Medz’ with
Vybz kartel
This inevitably lead to the banger
“Lifestyle Rich” featuring Tanto Blacks.
As a recording artiste Teetimus is at a superb
advantage; having toured the world as a musician and
having the awesome ability to produce hit material and
insane beats.
Now under new management, Trill City Global,
Teetimus is looking to release his first body of work this
year. The EP is set to be an awesome visual into the
mind and heart of this talented entertainer.
