YANIQUE CURVY DIVA
Yanique ‘The Curvy Diva’ Barrett has been on the entertainment scene since
2006 when she hosted the first season of the TV show ‘In Di Dance’ in
Jamaica. Since then, the gorgeous 5-foot-7 beauty has blossomed into a
seasoned media personality, MC and host of quite a few regional TV and
radio shows including the critically acclaimed Magnum Kings And Queens Of
Dancehall aired on the number one television station in Jamaica, TVJ
This past student of Northern Caribbean University was professionally
trained in video production at CPTC, an experience, she says, which has
widened her perspective on the dynamics of video production and
presentation. Yanique has a passion for behind the scenes as well as being
in front of the camera. This keen eye for visual production assists in her
creation of professional videos for her extremely popular social media
platforms (with more than 1.5 million followers), specifically Instagram, as
well as conceptualizing advertising campaigns here in Jamaica under her
Yadelco Production brand.
A big fan of dancehall, Yanique has been involved in
dancehall promotion for some years and has
spearheaded the development of several dancehall
events. She says her musical taste is concentrated in
Jamaican music and wants to contribute to the
development of dancehall.
In 2018 The Curvy Diva added trending recording
artiste to her portfolio with hit singles including;
‘Lifestyle’, Unfair Games’ with I-Octane, ‘Turn Your
Lights Down Low’. with international Grammy
nominated artiste Kymani Marley and Bunx Pon It
with Billboard producer and artiste Demarco.
The multitalented artiste and entrepreneur also in 2020
launched her extremely successful Dining with Curvy Diva
Brand.
The Catering service consists of tasty pop up kitchens and
dinner parties all across the island. She is also gearing up to
launch her Cook Book, Seasoning Line and cooking attire
come early 2021.
Currently \the Curvy Diva is completing her 7
track EP called Underestimated. It features a
Potpourri of sounds from R&B, Afrobeat,
Reggae and Dancehall and has collaborations
with artistes including; Gage, Kranium and
Nigerian artiste Solid Star.
The first single from the project ‘ Eleganza
Remix’ premiered on her late mother’s
birthday – November 25, 2020. The entire
project is slated for an early 2021 release.
